Due to fire danger with windy conditions tonight, there will not be a bonfire.  However, Mr. D’Amico will have barbeque available for CHS students outside the school in the area by the snack machine hallway.

Clearwater JV Boys play for 3rd place in the Black River League Tournament on Friday, Jan 24 at 5:00 pm.

BRL Championship games will take place on Saturday, Jan 25 with the Lady Tigers vying for 1st place against Bunker at 6:30 and the Clearwater boys matched against South Iron for the varsity boys championship after the girls’ game (approximately 8:00 pm.)

Don’t forget we are taking group pictures tomorrow in the gym.  Next week is Spirit Week.  We will post dress up days as soon as they are approved.  Scroll down to check the links for the updated BRL tournament brackets.  Clearwater Lady Tigers will be playing for the championship on Saturday.  The varsity and jr varsity boys will play tonight at 8:00 against Winona and East Carter to determine who goes to the championship game.

The following are PREDICTIONS from the DAILY AMERICAN REPUBLIC newspaper staff concerning the Black River League Tournament.

BOYS:  Clearwater.  The Tigers again will have their hands full with South Iron just like last year.  A Matthew D’Amico buzzer beater from the wing will lift the Tigers into a frenzy on Van Buren’s court.

GIRLS:  Clearwater.  Last year’s BRL title loss to Van Buren on the Lady Tigers’ home floor still stings a little bit.  Lexi Morris will have a huge game as Clearwater wins the title over South Iron.
