CHS SENIORS EXPERIENCE REALITY FAIR

Seniors at Clearwater received a little taste of life beyond high school as they participated in a “Reality Fair” held Wednesday, March 25.  The Reality Fair was organized jointly by CHS guidance counselor Shelley Burns and Business Development Specialist Davine Conover of the Ozark Federal Credit Union.  The credit union sponsored the fair, providing students with materials that put them in real life financial situations. Each student prepared a budget based on assigned occupational income and expenses, and then spent money by visiting booths where they could purchase vehicles, food, housing, child care, and other needs and wants.  Booths were manned by area business men and women. Fate (Mrs. Christy Johnson) visited students, handing them real life surprises, such as injuries, car repairs or even an overtime bonus… good preparation as these graduates get ready to step out on their own.
