DISTRICT RE-ENTRY PLAN

This plan has been developed in conjunction with the Wayne County Health Center and is based on recommendations from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and other sources.

This plan is subject to change as new information is obtained and local, state and federal regulations are implemented.

Please be patient and understanding as we work through these most difficult challenges and decisions.

PARENT SURVEY

The 2020-21 school year begins on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. We are in the process of developing our re-opening plans and procedures. We will publish these to the public once finalized.

Please be patient as the guidelines and recommendations are continually changing and we want to develop the most complete plan possible to keep our students and staff safe at school.

We ask that parents complete this Survey to provide us with important feedback to aid in our continued planning. If you do not have access to the internet, please call the Superintendent’s Office at 223-7426 ext. 6 to complete the survey.

2019-2020 ATHLETIC AWARDS

Senior athletes and their parents were honored in a ceremony on February 18, but the end of the year athletic awards presentation was pre-empted by COVID-19. Thanks to the continued efforts of the Clearwater Booster Club, seniors were presented with collages picturing their sporting activities. At this time, we would also like to recognize Clearwater athletes who earned All-Conference, All-District, Academic All-State, and other special honors. Local team awards will be announced in a separate post on this website in the near future.

Clearwater Boys Basketball Coach Zac Moore was selected to coach the Big 3 Athletics All Star Boys Basketball team. Clearwater athletes Taylor Hicks, Gage Keller, and Rachel Rowold were invited to play in the Big 3 All Star games which were scheduled for March 28 at East Carter High School, but were cancelled due to the COVID-19 quarantine. Hicks was also named a JCAA All Star selection.

Taylor Hicks scored his 1000th point on home court in the 3rd place game of the BRL Basketball Tournament and finished the season with 1,142 career points. Leading the Tigers in scoring that night with 37 points, Hicks became the eighth Clearwater boys basketball player to reach 1000. On the girls’ side, with one of the regular season games being cancelled, Rachel Rowold ended her high school basketball career just 8 points away from the 1000 point milestone.

Sadly, many spring sporting events were cancelled,  including the entire spring baseball, softball, and golf  seasons. All Conference selections for baseball and softball were based on the fall season. Because Clearwater does not play a fall softball season, CHS softball players were not considered for All-Conference honors.

2020 GRADUATION PHOTOS

CONGRATULATIONS to our senior graduates of  2020!

It has taken a bit of time, but a gallery of approximately 2000 photos has been assembled from graduation and a few from graduation practice. Every effort was made to adequately photograph each individual senior that was in attendance and the school district is making this collection available online at no cost. Photos are not necessarily in chronological order. In addition to the school’s personnel, photography credits go to senior parent Dawn Rowold of Peachtree Photos.
