TIGERS CRUSH ST PIUS… HEAD TO DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP
TIGERS IN DISTRICT TOURNAMENT PLAY TONIGHT AT CHS
After a nail-biter, one-point loss ended the Lady Tigers’ season last night, the varsity boys will take on St. Pius X of Festus tonight at 6:00.

US OLYMPIC TEAM AND CLEARWATER FBLA STUDENTS RETURN HOME WITH MORE THAN 20 MEDALS!
With the closing of the 2014 Winter Olympic games, the final US Olympic Medal Count came to 28. Clearwater FBLA students also scored big last Friday at District Leadership Conference with 21 medals, including 7 First Place Gold. Qualifying to compete at Missouri State Leadership Conference in April, were Amanda Bowman, Madi Brand, Tate Brand, Robert Jamieson, Hannah Rowold, Tyler Turnbough, Issiah Williams, and Shannon Zaloz.

HISTORY DAY
In response to requests from students, Mrs. Bangert will keep the library open until 4:30 pm on Monday, February 24 and Wednesday, February 26 to assist with History Day projects. Missouri’s District 9 History Day will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Cape Girardeau. The theme for History Day 2014 is “Rights and Responsibilities.”

SENIOR RECOGNITION TONIGHT!
“CHS CHEERLEADERS IN TRAINING” TO PERFORM TONIGHT
Basketball games begin Monday night at 4:30 with a junior varsity girls game against Van Buren. Varsity girls will follow at approximately 6:00 and then the varsity boys will be playing a makeup game against Arcadia Valley. Highlighting tonight’s activities will be a performance by elementary and middle school girls that took part in a recent cheerleading clinic.
Wrapping up the regular basketball season before districts start on Saturday, Clearwater will host the Naylor Eagles on Tuesday, February 18. There will be two games: varsity girls and varsity boys. Jump time is 6:00. Senior players will be recognized in between games.
