EARLY DISMISSAL ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1
There will be an early dismissal of students at 12:20 on Wednesday, February 1 to allow professional development activities for teachers in the afternoon.
FBLA MEMBERS TAKE 9 MEDALS AT DISTRICT CONTEST
FBLA students from Clearwater High School competed in a variety of contests on Friday, January 27 at Poplar Bluff. The following students brought home medals:
Breanna Hicks, Faith Hoppe, and Gavin Lindsey – 2nd place in Management Decision Making
Sarah Johnson and Logan Henson – 2nd place in Social Media Campaign
Elyxis Jordan – 3rd place in Public Speaking
Brett Jackson and Skylar Starks – 4th place in Graphic Design
Makenna Black – 5th place in Business Law

JANUARY 2017
FBLA District Competition will be held on Friday, January 27. Be at school by 6:35 am. The bus will leave at 6:45 am and should return by 4:15 pm. Students will need to make arrangements for transportation to and from the school.
Robotics Qualifier Competition on Sunday, January 29 will be held at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. The bus will leave from the high school promptly at 6:00 am.
Monday, January 30 – FCCLA STAR Events Competition at Cape Girardeau.
FEBRUARY 2017
Balfour Rings Parent Night will be held at 3:30 on Thursday, February 2.
The CHS Drama Club is hosting the 2017 Talent Showcase on Friday, February 3 at 6:00 in the West Multipurpose Room at the high school.
Local History Day will be held on Wednesday, February 15.
ProStart Competition February 16-17 at Springfield, Missouri.

SENIOR ATHLETES TO BE HONORED TUESDAY, JAN 24
SENIOR NIGHT is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24 when Clearwater will be hosting girls/boys basketball games against Doniphan.
Game times: Girls 5:00 pm, JV Boys 6:15 pm, Varsity Boys 7:30 pm
Senior Night ceremonies will be held at the conclusion of the varsity boys game.

RESCHEDULED GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME SET FOR FRIDAY
The girls basketball team will play at home this Friday, January 20 against Lesterville. Game time is 6:00 pm. This is a makeup game from the one that was originally scheduled in December.
TALENT SHOWCASE AUDITIONS TONIGHT
High School/Middle School auditions for the 2017 Clearwater Talent Showcase will be held after school on Wednesday, January 18 in Mrs. Montgomery’s classroom at the high school. Groups and individuals of various talents (singing, dancing, acting, writing, etc.) are invited to audition. Students are also encouraged to submit original artwork to be displayed in the showcase. Art submissions must be made by Friday, January 20.
The Talent Showcase is scheduled for 6:00 pm on Friday, February 3.
