Last Day to Get Book Club Form!

Today is the last day to get a form to join Clearwater Book Club! Remember that you don’t have to be a big reader to join book club. We meet once a month during advisory and lunch to discuss books and promote the library—which includes things like machines in the Maker Space Lab. I hope to create some reels that show the different things you can make in the library. Pick up a form today because a parent signature is required, and I have to turn in the roster tomorrow—so today is the day!

Volunteers Needed

Sam A Baker is once again hosting the Haunted Trail at the park and is very much in need of volunteers! The trail itself is Saturday the 23rd and runs from 5:30pm-8pm. The manager is Jody Fleming, and she requests you call her sometime this week at the park store’s number 573-856-4223. Volunteers would need to be at the park store Saturday by at least 4pm to walk the trail and figure out your position/role. She requests you bring your own scary costume, but makeup services will be provided. This volunteer work has been approved to count towards NHS and Beta hours. Pizza, drinks, and other snacks will be provided to volunteers that evening!(please have anyone with questions ask Kylie Glover or call the park store for more info!!)

Book Club Begins This Month

Book Club will resume meeting this month on Thursday, October 28, and will continue to meet the last full day we are in session each month. We will meet in the library during lunch and advisory where we talk about interesting books and promote reading—through things like displays and posts and reels. Dues are $5 and cover snacks and potential activities. Stop by the library to pick up your form soon!

Arts Building Activities

This month, the Arts Building has been busy with activities. Earlier this month, FFA, under the leadership of Mr. Mabury attended Farm Fest in Springfield, MO. This is the Ozarks largest agricultural event with over 1000 agriculture and rural living exhibits. Students had the opportunity to visit with people in the agricultural field, learning more about the industry and recent innovations.

Also this month, students in Ms. V’s classes are working on the Art Club float for this year’s Fall Festival Parade. The Art Club always has an exciting float!
