In an atmosphere of celebration, students heading out to compete in the SOMO State Indoor Games at St. Joseph received a sendoff of high fives and cheers from their peers!

HOW LONG IS AN INTESTINE?
Measuring 7 feet, 6 inches, this intestine was the winner in a competition among anatomy students studying the digestive system to see which fetal pig dissection resulted in the longest intestine.
By comparison, the average human small intestine measures over 20 feet.
SPRING BREAK
There will be an early dismissal of students at 12:20 pm on Thursday, March 28 to allow professional development activities for teachers in the afternoon. School will not be in session on Friday, March 29 or Monday, April 1. School will resume on Tuesday, April 2.

BOOK CLUB FIELD TRIP
Over the course of the last few months, CHS Book Club members have been passing around the novel Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott, reading it in preparation to see the new movie of the same title. On Thursday, March 21, the book was brought to life for them on the big screen at Poplar Bluff AMC Theater. Lunch and a quick tour of the Poplar Bluff Public Library followed the show.
