A power outage this morning changed some lesson plans, but didn’t last long. Black River Electric personnel were onsite and power was restored just after 10:00 am.

PASTA DRIVE GOING ON NOW!
Bring spaghetti, macaroni, egg noodles… ANY KIND OF PASTA!
The Beta Club is running their annual pasta drive. All students are encouraged to contribute and Beta members are asked to bring at least 3 items. Pasta can be brought to Mrs. Burns in the guidance office and will be given to the local food pantry for distribution in our community.
BASEBALL GAME CANCELLED
The baseball game originally scheduled for Thursday, September 11 with West County has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
CHS LIBRARY OPEN UNTIL 5:00 PM THURSDAY, CLOSED FRIDAY
The Clearwater High School Library will be closed on Friday, September 12. As a convenience, the library will be open late after school on Thursday for those wishing to pick up books for weekend reading or to work on homework.

TIGER STEEL ROBOTICS TEAM KICKS OFF YEAR
An informational session at Southeast Missouri State this past weekend marked the beginning of the new season for the Tiger Steel Robotics team. WOW! GREAT TURNOUT FOR THE FIRST BOOK CLUB MEETING!
Lots of interest and attendance for the initial meeting of the CHS Book Club promises a fun year! If you missed the first one, you can still get in on the action. Our first activity is to read a mystery or Halloween related book (ghost stories, horror, etc.) We will have our next meeting on October 31. Bring Halloween party food to the library and be prepared to talk about the book you read. Draw or bring something that your book’s main character would wear to a Halloween party!
