STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: TRENTON MILLER
Hats off to CHS’s own Trenton Miller who traveled to Bismarck, North Dakota in August to compete in the SONA 2017 Softball Championships! Over the summer, Trenton also competed in state track and field games in Springfield, winning bronze medals in both the running long jump and 100 meter dash.

CHS is hosting the 38th Annual Clearwater Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, September 16 with teams and schedule of events as follows.

*Semi-final matches will start at approximately 4:15 pm and 5:30 pm. Championship match will start at approximately 6:30 pm. There will be no third place match.
The top two teams from each pool will advance into the tournament semi-final matches. Each match will be the best-of-three. The top team from Pool A will play the second place team from Pool B. The top team from Pool B will then play the second place from Pool A. The first semi-final match will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of pool play. There will be a 15 break, then the official 18 warm-up. Semi-final matches along with the championship match will be played to regulation points with normal time-outs and warm-ups. There will be no point cap on semi-final and championship matches.
SCHEDULE FOR CLEARWATER CLASH SATURDAY, SEPT 16
The Baseball Clash hosted at Clearwater this year will feature two teams from the MAAA and two teams from the OFC going head to head. Each team will play the schools from the opposing conference. This year, the Clash will be played in the wood bat format. The first game will be begin at 10:00 am. Games will be scheduled 2 hours apart. If a game ends early, the next game will start early if possible. A plaque will be awarded to the team that has the best record on the day. If there is a tie, it will first be decided by head to head, if they played. If they didn’t play each other, then the next tie breaker will be run differential. If a tie still exists, fewest number of runs allowed will be used.
