Mrs. Montgomery will be traveling with her speech team to Cape Central on Thursday, November 2 to compete in various events. The Clearwater High School Speech Team had an outstanding performance last week at the first tournament of the season. Amaya Keele placed first in Prose Reading; Alex Smith came in just behind her, placing second in that same category. Caitlyn Alcorn and Elizabeth Gronski took second in Public Forum debate after winning each of their specific matches. Taylor Kirk and Caleb McElmurry made it to the final round of competition in radio speaking and dramatic interpretation, respectively. Finally, CHS took third in the sweeps (the third highest score of the night in total points out of eleven schools!)
