The Clearwater softball and baseball jamborees originally scheduled for Saturday, March 9 have been cancelled. We will post an update when/if they are rescheduled.

TODAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR APRIL ACT REGISTRATION
The April 13 ACT will not be given at Clearwater, but if you want another chance to test, there are other area testing sites available, including Poplar Bluff and Fredericktown. Friday, March 8 is the registration deadline.

CHS HOSTING SPEECH TOURNAMENT TODAY
The annual Clearwater Invitational Speech Tournament will be held on Thursday, November 7. The tournament will begin at 4:00 and end with awards at approximately 7:00 pm. Speech competitors are not allowed to participate at the tournaments hosted by their own school, therefore Clearwater students will not be performing, but there are several area schools that will be participating in entertaining competition including duet acting, humorous interpretation, and storytelling among others.
FINK WINS MULTIPLE AWARDS AT REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR

Congratulations to CHS student Jessica Fink for excellence in “A Comparative Study of Semiconductors in Organic Solar Cells.” Her project was a 3rd Place Winner on Tuesday, March 6 at the 63rd Southeast Missouri Regional Science Fair in Cape Girardeau. Fink participated in the senior division category of Energy: Physics and Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science and won additional awards from both Mu Alpha Theta and the Office of Naval Research, including a $50 gift card.
CLEARWATER STUDENT RECEIVES HEALTHCARE CAMP SCHOLARSHIP
Although summer seems distant, high school students should already be researching and applying for career related summer opportunities!
This summer, Caitlyn has been accepted to a healthcare camp where she will be shadowing healthcare professionals, learning CPR, using a stethoscope, taking blood pressures, and visiting various clinical sites and doing it all at no cost! Based on an essay she submitted, Caitlyn was selected as a scholarship recipient to cover the expenses of the camp.
Students interested in summer activities such as this are invited to visit the CHS guidance office or the CHS Library to research opportunities. Don’t wait!

JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Prom information packets are available in Mr. McFadden’s room. Completed packets are required before you can receive your ticket. Packets are due back no later than Friday, April 5.
EARLY SCHOOL DISMISSAL ON TUESDAY, MARCH 5
There will be an early dismissal of students at 12:20 pm on Tuesday, March 5 to accommodate the area academic bowl being hosted by the Clearwater Middle School. Teachers not involved in academic bowl activities will be participating in professional development.
