VOLUNTEER FORMS; UNDIE SUNDAY MONTH

Information, including volunteer forms for BRIGHT Futures is available now under the “CHS Info” tab.

A MESSAGE FROM BRIGHT FUTURES…  April is “Undie Sunday” month and we invite all area churches to collect new underwear and socks for all ages 4-18 yr old.  Your church may want to display a tub to collect all month or designate a certain Sunday.  We will gather all collections at the end of the month.  We hope all congregations will participate.

Thanks so very much for your support and participation!

FACS CLASSROOM GETS A TOWER GARDEN

Through a Career and Technical Education grant from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, a Tower Garden has been added to the Clearwater High School Family and Consumer Science (FACS) classroom. The Tower Garden uses aeroponic technology to grow multiple plants without dirt in a small indoor space. With free access to lesson plans and learning materials, FACS instructor Christy Johnson is enthusiastic about the opportunities for her students. “I am most excited about growing our own herbs and greens to use in culinary classes, including being more competitive in ProStart challenges with fresh vegetables and herbs not found locally.”

HURTS DONUTS… WELCOME RYE HUFF!

A huge THANK YOU to the parent that brought Hurts Donuts to school today for Clearwater High School faculty and staff! Faculty members like Sarah Conner enthusiastically enjoyed the tasty treats. It was a great welcome as new IT staff member Rye Huff halved one with Curt Rhea. This is Rye’s second day on the job. He will be replacing Rhea, who will be retiring (again) at the end of this school year.
