Project Graduation will be hosting a fish fry on Friday, January, 29 in the Clearwater High School cafeteria. Dinner will be served 5:00-6:30 pm and will include fish, potatoes, slaw, beans, drink, and dessert. Tickets are $10 each purchased in advance from Project Grad Seniors. Tickets are also available at the Kim Volz American Family Insurance office in Piedmont and at the door on Friday night.

FOURTEEN CANDIDATES VIE FOR HOMECOMING QUEEN
The Clearwater High School Tigers will host the Greenville Bears on Friday, January 29 in boys’ junior varsity and varsity basketball games beginning at 6:00 pm. The public is invited to stay for the coronation of the 2016 homecoming queen following the games. Fourteen candidates representing CHS classes and clubs have been selected. Popular vote for the queen represents 25% of the queen’s score and took place on Wednesday. Other selection components are GPA, teacher recommendation and an essay. Retiring Queen Madi Brand will return to CHS to crown the winner.

PEPPERS WINS BEST OF SHOW AT CHS SCIENCE FAIR
Originally scheduled for January 20, the Clearwater High School Science Fair was postponed due to snow days that cancelled school. Back to school on Monday, students displayed projects in the cafeteria for viewing by the student body and judges. Sherry Peppers earned Best of Show with her research revealing the Effect of Temperature on the Dissolving Rate of Acetaminophen.
