Last week, CHS Drama Club performed this musical based on the classic novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The almost 2 hour performance was filled with the talented acting and singing of this group of CHS students and was a joy to watch.

CHS graduate (2016) and ProStart alumni Nathan Yount (currently Chef de Partie at St Louis Country Club) visited the ProStart class earlier this week to discuss flavor profiles and possible competition dishes. Nathan brought ingredients for students to taste and experiment with to see how substituting one ingredient for another can change a dish.

On Thursday, November 11, Clearwater will honor Veterans and their families at a breakfast hosted by ProStart and an assembly. Veterans and their families are invited to attend the breakfast starting at 6:30am with the assembly following in the high school gym at 8.

Book Club will finally be meeting—tomorrow! If you signed up for Book Club, come to the library for advisory and lunch. Bring your lunch with you or you’ll go get a to go lunch. Bring some ideas of fun ways we can promote reading, the library, and school!

Chef Marty Hayes gave ProStart students a tour of the brand new kitchen at Eagle Sky. Students got to make their own pizzas (lots of creativity was demonstrated with different ingredient combinations), then got to hear about different opportunities in the food service industry. We had a BLAST and really appreciated all Chef Marty did to make our visit educational, delicious, and FUN!
