Chef de Partie visits with ProStart

CHS graduate (2016) and ProStart alumni Nathan Yount (currently Chef de Partie at St Louis Country Club) visited the ProStart class earlier this week to discuss flavor profiles and possible competition dishes. Nathan brought ingredients for students to taste and experiment with to see how substituting one ingredient for another can change a dish.

Prostart Visits Eagle Sky

Chef Marty Hayes gave ProStart students a tour of the brand new kitchen at Eagle Sky. Students got to make their own pizzas (lots of creativity was demonstrated with different ingredient combinations), then got to hear about different opportunities in the food service industry. We had a BLAST and really appreciated all Chef Marty did to make our visit educational, delicious, and FUN!
