Join the Book Club! We are taking new memberships NOW! The first meeting will be Thursday, August 30 in the high school library. Membership is $5.00 and includes a FREE BOOK! Book club members get first chance at new library books, enjoy snacks and discussing the latest and greatest reads. We also try to attend one movie per year that is based on a book. Last year, the book club read the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio and saw the movie at the theater in Poplar Bluff. Pick up a membership form at the CHS Library and turn it in with your dues to Mrs. Bangert or Mrs. Pauley.

The Tigers will travel to Van Buren on Tuesday, August 28 for the baseball season opener against the Van Buren Bulldogs. The bus will leave at 2:45 pm. Game time is 4:30 pm.

Please help “Stuff a Truck” for the Clearwater Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry by sending non-perishable items to Clearwater High School. Examples of items needed are canned vegetables, fruit, soup, pasta, rice, hamburger helper, peanut butter, condiments, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels and other paper products, etc. Bring your donations by September 8, 2018 and place them in the plastic container near the Clearwater High School office. Support the Lady Tigers with a volleyball t-shirt! Orders must be placed by this Friday, August 24.  Regular sizes through XL are $10 each; XXL and XXXL are $12.  Please make checks out to Clearwater Volleyball, put money in an envelope, and write t-shirt sizes on the envelope. At the high school, you may turn in orders to the high school office or the high school library. In the middle school, give orders to Mrs. Saundra Hoppe and at the elementary, turn orders in to the elementary office. Thanks for your support!

The Lady Tigers are happy to host the annual volleyball jamboree at Clearwater High School on Thursday, August 23. All times listed are approximate. The next match will start when both teams are ready to go. Each match will consist of two sets. Each set will be played to 15 points. Each set will be started at a score of 10-10 to keep the final at 25 points with a point cap of 25. Admission will be charged and there will be a concession stand available.

The Clearwater Baseball Jamboree will be played at Clearwater High School on Saturday, August 18th.  All games will take place on the high school baseball field located adjacent to Clearwater High School.  The first game of the day will start at 11:00 AM.  The home is first for each game  All times listed are approximate.  We will start the next game when both teams are ready to go.  There will be a one-hour 15 minute time limit on each game or four innings, whichever comes first.

Each team will play a four-inning game against the other two teams.  Each half inning will end after 3 outs or 8 runs, whichever comes first.  Teams are permitted a maximum of 8 innings for the jamboree, regardless of time limits.  Substitutions are unlimited.  Players are only allowed to pitch two innings for the entire event.
