BASEBALL SCHEDULE CHANGES

With the Lady Tigers playing in the state softball sectional game on Monday, May 7,  the Tiger baseball double header originally scheduled for the same day has been changed. The game against Viburnum has been cancelled and won’t be made up. The Lesterville game has been moved to 3:30 on Wednesday, May 9.

NEW PERSONAL FINANCE CURRICULUM

Shout out to Jeff Radford and First Midwest Bank for sponsoring new personal finance curriculum for Clearwater High School!

Students in Missouri are required to earn a 1/2 credit in the area of Personal Finance. Last fall, the State Board of Education advised districts to begin preparing local personal finance curriculum based on new standards and to begin implementation in the 2018-2019 school year. Instructors Christy Johnson and Sarah Conner are looking forward to using the new curriculum provided by First Midwest Bank.

SENIOR BANNERS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

Seniors who participated in 2017-2018 MSHSAA extracurricular activities have the option to purchase their Senior Banners for $25 each in the high school office. Banners that have been purchased will be given out the morning of May 4. As a bonus, buyers will receive a facebook copy and a digital copy of the banner for their own use, compliments of Dawn Rowold, photographer and designer of the banners. 

GOLF TEAM MEMBERS ADVANCE TO SECTIONALS

Congratulations to golf team members Brett Jackson, Jimmy Hutchison, and Ethan Jameson. All three  qualified on Monday in the Class 2, District 1 Golf Tournament to advance to sectionals. Jackson placed 5th in the tournament, just three strokes behind the leader to earn All District honors. Sectionals will be played on  Monday, May 7 at the Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson. TUESDAY’S BALL GAMES

Both the boys’ baseball team and the girls’ softball teams advanced yesterday in their respective tournaments and move to semifinal play today. The Clearwater Tigers will face the host Ellington team in the BRL baseball semifinals at 5:00 pm.  The Lady Tigers will take on Liberty at 3:30 pm in the C1D5 tournament at Rotary Park in Piedmont.

SOFTBALL/BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS BEGIN TODAY

The Class 1, District 5 Softball Tournament begins on Monday, April 30 at Piedmont with the following game times:
1:00 pm     Clearwater vs Summersville
3:00 pm    Liberty vs Ellington
5:00 pm    Greenville vs Meadow Heights
7:00 pm    Woodland vs Oak Ridge

The Black River League Baseball Tournament begins on Monday, April 30 at Ellington with the following game times:
3:00 pm    Lesterville vs South Iron
5:00 pm    Clearwater vs Viburnum
