Orientation will be held at Clearwater High School on Monday, August 17 for freshmen and new students 6:30 – 7:30 pm.  Parents and students should meet in the cafeteria at 6:30 and will then be dismissed to visit classrooms.

Clearwater Middle School Orientation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18.   Parents and students may pick up schedules and visit with teachers beginning at 6 p.m.  At 6:30, 5th/6th grade families will meet in the East Multi-Purpose room and 7th/8th grade families will meet in the West Multi-Purpose room.  Door prizes will be given.

 You are invited to attend an informational meeting concerning the establishment of a foundation for Clearwater Schools so individuals can give tax deductible charitable donations to help our students.  The meeting will be held this Thursday, August 13, 10:00 am at the Zephyr Restaurant.  Please share this information with other friends of education!

• New enrollments for both elementary and middle school students will be taken at the Clearwater Elementary on Tuesday, August 11 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.  New high school students will still enroll in the counselor’s office in the high school.

• The Back-to-School Fair will be held at the Clearwater Elementary cafeteria on Wednesday, August 12  10:00 am-2:00.

The BACK TO SCHOOL BOOK FAIR for the Clearwater R-1 School District will begin Friday, August 7 with no sales tax!  It will continue Monday, August 10 and run through the first full week of school, ending on Friday, August 28.  The Book Fair will be held at the Clearwater High School Library with BOOKS FOR ALL AGES.  Hours will vary, but will generally run from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.  The book fair will be open during the Back-to-School Fair on Wednesday, August 12.  It will also be open the evenings of Freshman Orientation/Elementary Open House on Monday, August 17 and the Middle School Open House on Tuesday, August 18.  The public is welcome to attend.  If it is more convenient, you may SHOP ONLINE.  For more information about the book fair, contact Mary Bangert at 573-223-2313.

New School Hours: 7:55 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. for All Campuses

New Student Enrollment:  Clearwater new student enrollment will be Tuesday, August 11, from 9:00 to 2:00.  Elementary and middle school students need to go to the elementary campus for enrollment.  High school students will enroll in the counselor’s office.  Please bring birth certificate and immunization records.

Fall Sports Practices – Practices for baseball and volleyball will be starting August 3. Baseball will be practicing 9 a.m. – Noon.  Volleyball is practicing 7 – 10 a.m.  Players will need their sports physical and proof of insurance before they can practice.  Please contact coaches for further details or watch for information in the Journal Banner.

Tax Levy Hearing:

Band Camp will be held at Clearwater High School Tuesday, August 4 through Friday, August 7.  It is open to students in grades 8-12.  Specific groups will meet each day as follows:

Flags 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Drum Line 1:00 – 3:00 pm

Mrs. Buxton will be available for tutoring all other band students throughout the same week.

Pre-registration for the Back-to-School Fair will be held at the South Central Missouri Community Action Agency located at 209 North Main in Piedmont on Wednesday, July 22, between 10:00 am  and 2:00 pm.  If you need further information regarding the Back-to-School Fair, you may contact the Action Agency at 223-7495.
