CHS ROBOTICS TEAM QUALIFIES FOR STATE COMPETITION!
The Tiger Steel Robotics team competed with 41 other teams in the 6th annual FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition at the Show Me Center on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. After preliminary rounds, CHS was in first place and at the end of the day the team finished 2nd overall, qualifying for state competition at Rolla on March 7.
Tiger Steel Robotics team members are Tre Babcock, Dillon Freeze, Tony Kruithoff, Jerrick Middleton, Tyler Turnbough, and Paul VanNoy. Sponsors are Paul D’Amico, Terry Briley, and Scott Hale. Mentors are Ethan Devenport, Randy Devenport, and Ben Diesel. Congratulations to the entire crew!

NEW REVISED SCHOOL CALENDAR
TIGER BASKETBALL THURSDAY NIGHT!
Dayvon Slack was presented with a plaque before Tuesday night’s game for scoring his 1,000th career point earlier this season. Come on out to the gym on Thursday, December 11 to see the Tigers and Lady Tigers score more! The ladies suit up against Lesterville at 5:00 pm. with the boys’ games to follow.
BOOK CLUB FIELD TRIP
The CHS Book Club traveled to Poplar Bluff on Tuesday to see a showing of Mockingjay: Part 1, based on the third book of The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. The next Book Club meeting will be Tuesday, December 16 in the library. Members should read a holiday themed book and bring snacks for the Christmas party.
