The 2014 Clearwater Tigers top Greenville in back-and-forth affair, 7-3

Clearwater and Greenville passed the lead back and forth five times on Thursday at TRCC, but in the end the 2014 Clearwater Tigers pulled out a 7-3 win in seven innings over Greenville.  The Tigers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning, scoring on an RBI double by Hayden Clark off Devon Duncan, bringing home Tristan Holmes.

The Clearwater Tigers were led by Holmes’ hitting. Holmes went 4-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.  Bryce Alcorn got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four, walked four and surrendered three hits.
