CROSS COUNTRY MEET RESULTS
Clearwater Cross Country runners put several miles on their shoes with three meets in the past eight days. One highlight was the first head-to-head competition between Clearwater and Greenville, with bragging rights up for grabs. Similar to basketball’s Battle for the Paddle inaugurated last year, Clearwater’s Coach Jim West and Greenville’s Coach Brent Huff organized the contest between the county rival schools. In the “Miles and Tigers and Bears” challenge, the teams plan to race each year for a specially designed trophy that will travel to the winning school after points are calculated.
