ESPORTS UPDATE
After being tied for second in the state, Clearwater fell to a more experienced West County team yesterday. Halfway through the season now, Clearwater’s first eSports team is in the middle of the pack in state rankings, even after forfeiting the first Overwatch and Rocket League games due to the time needed to get the new team organized. The video above shows Clearwater’s first Rocket League win on October 15.

Central Methodist University will be holding the Third Annual Locked Talons 1v1 Fortnite and Rocket League Tournaments on Saturday October 24 and October 31, respectively. The tournaments are completely online and contestants will compete for top scholarships worth $40,000 each and a spot on the CMU Esports team.
Entry Fee: Free
Location: Online
Check in at 9 am, Matches begin at 10 am
Eligibility: High school student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
VOLLEYBALL ACTION
The Lady Tigers went the distance in five games Monday evening, winning over the Scott City Lady Rams in extra points, 19-17. The team is playing four nights out of five this week with a makeup game against Ellington on Friday. The district tournament begins Monday, October 26 in Woodland where third seeded Clearwater will face the second seeded Bloomfield Lady Wildcats.

With the year flying by (the first quarter ends tomorrow!), seniors have probably already been thinking about their graduation checklist. Caps and gowns, senior clothing, graduation announcements and other Senior 2021 products are available for order NOW!
In a normal year (and this one has been everything but normal), seniors would have a class meeting with a Herff Jones representative. This year, the 2021 Senior Class Meeting is here:
JOIN THE BOOK CLUB!
The book club will be meeting with social distancing on the first Friday of the month beginning on November 6. A signed Permission Form is required this year to attend club meetings in person. However, EVERYONE is invited to Join the Book Club Google Classroom for discussion, notification of meetings, links to interesting reading, etc.
YEARBOOKS ARE HERE!
Last year’s yearbooks have arrived and can be purchased for $40 in the elementary office, middle school office, and high school library.
