CLEARWATER FACULTY RUN BADGE OF HONOR HALF MARATHON

Clearwater Cross Country Coach Jim West and one of his former student athletes, Jagger Robinson, ran top finishes in Poplar Bluff over the weekend. West had a time of 1:41:21 in the Badge of Honor Half Marathon, earning honors as the third place overall male.  Robinson, a senior at Greenville High School, ran the 13.1 mile distance in 1:29:01 for first place and top overall male.

Other Clearwater staff in the race included preschool teacher Tina Lancaster (pictured) and IT support personnel Rye Huff, both of whom took first place in their age divisions. Along with local runner Deana Wikerson, the second top overall female in the half marathon distance, Wayne Countians took home three of the six top overall places.

INVITATION TO SUBMIT PHOTOS FOR VETERANS DAY TRIBUTE

With Veterans Day exactly one month away, Clearwater R-1 students,  teachers, and community members are invited to share photos of themselves or loved ones who have served or who are currently serving in any branch of the United States military.  Please provide the name, rank, military branch of the serviceman/woman pictured, and the name of the person submitting the photo with any other pertinent information you feel should be shared. Submit photos no later than Friday, October 23 through the CHS Private Photo Submission page. Photos will be used in a video tribute to honor area veterans.

CLEARWATER HOSTS BRL CONFERENCE CROSS COUNTRY MEET TODAY

The Clearwater R-1 School District is pleased to be able to host the Black River League Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, October 7.

The entire course will be run at Eagle Sky of the Ozarks near Piedmont, with the start and finish lines near the island by the lake. Attendees are asked to social distance and/or wear masks and to help keep the property clean of trash and debris during and after the races. There will be separate parking for buses and spectators. The awards ceremony will take place on the island.
