Clearwater Tigers Baseball Jamboree Saturday, March 13, 2021
Schedule 12:00 pm Jefferson vs. Clearwater 1:30 pm Woodland vs. Jefferson 3:00 pm Clearwater vs. Woodland
All games will take place on the high school baseball field located adjacent to Clearwater High School. The first game of the day will start at 12:00 pm. All times listed are approximate. The next game will begin when both teams are ready to go.
Each team will play a four-inning game against the other schools. The team listed first will be considered the home team and bat second. Each half inning will end after 3 outs or 8 runs, whichever comes first. Teams are permitted a maximum of 8 innings for the jamboree. The inning will be played to completion no matter who is ahead in the last inning. Substitutions are unlimited. Pitchers are limited to two innings of pitching for the jamboree.
The Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association (MCCA) recently announced the winners of the 2020-21 state championships in a Video Awards Ceremony, with the CHS Cheer Team taking 6th place in the 1A Small Schools Division. Congrats also goes out to Lizzie England, one of five athletes named as All State Flyers.
All students in grades 9-11 should stay in their assigned advisory rooms on Friday, March 5, to receive information regarding scheduling for next year’s classes. Next year’s seniors will begin scheduling meetings with the guidance office on Monday, March 8.
On their way to represent CHS in FCCLA STAR Events, these students are heading to Tan-Tar-A for state competition. Hannah Johnson will demonstrate her skills in Baking & Pastry, a new competitive category for the state of Missouri, while Ty Silvester and Kylie Glover are entered individually in Culinary Arts. Their advisor is ProStart instructor and FCCLA sponsor Christy Johnson.
Students at Clearwater Middle and High Schools are in the thick of Missouri’s LifeSmarts competition. At this point, the team, CMS Tiger Ambush JV, is the first ever middle school group from Clearwater R-1 to advance to state. The high school team, Tiger Ambush, spent today in LifeSmarts matches, testing their consumer smarts. It was announced at 2:00 pm today that both teams have advanced to the semi-final round of state competition. A special shout out to Kylie Glover who took first place in the state on the Environment exam!
Normally an in-person, one day contest, this year students are competing online over the course of a few weeks. Stay tuned for the results.
There will be an early dismissal of students at 12:20 pm on Tuesday, March 2 to allow professional development activities for teachers in the afternoon.
