Last week, Mrs. Alcorn’s classes and Mrs. Johnson’s Prostart class participated in some interesting activities. Mrs. Alcorn’s class gathered fall leaves and then investigated the leaf cells under a microscope. In Mrs. Johnson’s class, students participated in a communication lab. Students paired up to prepare Molten Lava Cakes. The twist was that one student was blindfolded and had to have verbal instruction from the partner. It was a great exercise to reinforce the importance of good communication skills in the kitchen.
