Our Clearwater High School team competed in the Missouri State LifeSmarts Championship and won 3rd place by successfully fielding questions about real-life marketplace issues.
LifeSmarts, a consumer education competition that challenges teens about personal finance, health & safety, the environment, technology & workforce development, and consumer rights & responsibilities, is a program of the National Consumers League. In Missouri, Family Consumer Sciences and Human Services Education, Missouri Association Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, and Missouri Future Business Leaders of America run the program and competitions.
Teens from across the state first competed online for a chance to advance to the in-person state finals held Wednesday, January 12. Our team will now apply for the wildcard spot to compete in the national championship to be held in Washington, D.C., April 21-24, 2022.
