The annual Fall Baseball Jamboree was held last night at the Clearwater field. Coach Sheets felt the jamboree was a great experience for our high schoolers and had this to say about the games:
I thought there were a lot of positive things that came from the two games we played. In our first game, Nathaniel Patterson started on the mound and did a fantastic job throwing strikes and challenging the hitters. Our offense showed a lot of promise with a big triple by Evan Tooke. Malcolm Rains made an amazing diving catch in the center that saved at least one run! In the second game, Darin Garrett came in relief of Evan Tooke. He threw the ball extremely well attacking hitters and racking up strikeouts. Some of the younger boys got a taste of what High school baseball is all about. We are getting better each day, working hard, and making the adjustment we need to. I look forward to our first game this Friday at 2 pm @Neelyville against Cooter High school.
