Several CHS students were awarded for their skill and talent yesterday. Four of our cross country team members medaled in the meet at East Carter. In high school girls, Haylee Esser placed 2nd, Makinlee Keister placed 10th, and Ava Umfleet placed 14th. In high school boys, Charlie Robbins placed 5th.

Additionally, the yearbook staff attended J-Day yesterday, and Abby Cheney won again for her gorgeous American Flag photo. J-Day, or Journalism Day, is a yearly event that hundreds of high school students attend. The goal is to promote journalism at a high school level and give students the opportunity to enhance their skills.
