FBLA MEDAL WINNERS; CHENEY ADVANCES TO NATIONALS
The Clearwater FBLA Chapter is boasting several district medal winners and two state award winners after FBLA competition. Among them, Jacob Cheney is advancing to national finals. All contests were held virtually and Cheney will be taking an online test for Organizational Leadership in the FBLA National Leadership Virtual Conference to be held this summer.
Agribusiness: Noah Graham 1st place
Economics: Jacob Cheney 1st place
Health Care Administration: Shelly Warren 5th place
Intro to Business: Jeffrey White 3rd place
Intro to Event planning: Laney Briley, Noah Graham, and Ayla Keller 2nd place
Journalism: Clurie Briley 4th place
Organizational Leadership: Jacob Cheney 1st place
Personal Finance: Kylie Glover 2nd place
Personal Finance: Jacob Cheney 3rd place
Personal Finance: Noah Graham 5th place
Political Science: Lily Kintz 4th place
END OF YEAR CHROMEBOOK RETURNS
Chromebooks will be collected next week following this schedule:
- 9th Grade Chromebooks will be collected on Wednesday, May 19th at 8am in the West Multipurpose Room.
- 10th Grade Chromebooks will be collected on Wednesday, May 19th at 8am in the High School Library.
- 11th Grade Chromebooks will be collected on Wednesday, May 19th at 8:45am in the High School Library.
- 12th Grade Chromebooks will be collected on Friday, May 21st at Graduation Practice in the High School Foyer.
ARRIVE ALIVE TOUR AT CHS
The Arrive Alive Tour arrived at CHS on Monday, May 10 with a virtual reality simulator showing the dangers of impaired driving. Through the efforts of the CHS guidance office working with Unite, students in grades 9-12 experienced drunk driving, driving under the influence of drugs, and distracted driving while texting, to increase awareness of the consequences of these actions.





NORRIS AND HUTCHISON FINISH IN DISTRICT TOP 20 AND ADVANCE TO STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congrats to Nate Norris and Jimmy Hutchison who will be teeing off in the State Golf Championships on Monday and Tuesday, May 17-18.
CLEARWATER STUDENTS DISPLAY TALENT AT MAC ART SHOW
Clearwater students boasted 3 BEST OF SHOW art pieces and numerous ribbons at the 21st Mineral Area Council on the Arts K-12 Art Show held earlier this month. Works of art, divided into five age divisions and eleven media categories, filled the Mineral Area College Field House on May 1. The annual art show is a cooperative effort between Mineral Area Council on the Arts (MACOA) and area art instructors. Best of Show winners received cash for both themselves and their school’s art department.




CHEER TRYOUTS TO BE HELD AFTER SCHOOL ON TUESDAY, MAY 18
High School Cheer Tryouts for 2021-2022 Competitive and Sideline Cheering will be held 3:30-5:30 in the elementary gym on Tuesday, May 18. Email Mrs. Briley for more information. Pick up tryout materials in the high school office.
