Clearwater received recognition at the State FFA Convention as a new FFA Chapter.
The Clearwater FFA Floriculture Team advanced to state and finished with 24th place in Missouri.
For the first time, students from Clearwater High School attended Missouri’s State FFA Convention, held April 30 and May 1 in Sedalia. Further FFA excitement this week includes the first annual FFA Banquet to be held on Thursday, May 6. Members are reminded to RSVP their intentions to attend the banquet as soon as possible.
The BRL Tournament has been cancelled for Thursday, April 29. Work on the field is currently taking place, but conditions will be too soft to play this afternoon. Therefore, games have been pushed back to Friday, April 30. The schedule for tomorrow is as follows:
1:30 PM (JH) Lesterville vs. Clearwater
3:30 PM (HS) Ellington vs. Clearwater (3rd place)
5:30 PM (HS) East Carter vs. South Iron (Championship)
The first annual Clearwater FFA Banquet is set for Thursday, May 6 at 6:00 pm at the Patterson Community Center. It is requested that attendees RSVP through the Google Form to allow meal planning.
Mrs. Bangert enjoyed the long weekend, finally getting to read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Although prequels do not always fare well in reviews, this is a great read, providing context for the ensuing Hunger Games trilogy.
In the background of this photo, you’ll also notice the library’s newest holding from Divergent author Veronica Roth, Carve the Mark, recommended by Mrs. Pauley. Both The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Carve the Mark are in the library now and available for check out.
