Students, teachers, and staff honored our veterans today with the annual breakfast and assembly that CHS hosts. Students from Beta, FFA, ProStart, Band, Choir, StuCo, Boy Scouts, and other various groups –and individuals–worked to show our respect to the veterans in our community. Here are some scenes from this morning’s event.
FFA and StuCo hosted a Rake and Run this week. Around 20 people, students and teachers, helped rake and clean up yards of several area community members who appreciated the helping hand.
THIS Friday, November 12, Inter-State Studio will be at school to do picture retakes, senior cap and gown pictures, and club pictures.
- If you were absent on the day of school pictures or if you are new to the district, you can use this link to fill in picture form. Link here. (that is high school, only) Students will be called for when it is time.
- If you had your pictures taken and want new ones taken, you do NOT need a picture form but you must return ALL ORIGINAL PRINTS AND ENVELOPES to the photographer. Students will be called for when it is time.
- Following picture retakes, senior cap and gown pictures will be taken. Caps and gowns will be provided for you to wear.
- At some point after lunch, club pictures will be taken. All students will go to the gym and as photographers are ready, clubs will gather for their group pictures.
Last week, CHS Drama Club performed this musical based on the classic novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The almost 2 hour performance was filled with the talented acting and singing of this group of CHS students and was a joy to watch.

CHS graduate (2016) and ProStart alumni Nathan Yount (currently Chef de Partie at St Louis Country Club) visited the ProStart class earlier this week to discuss flavor profiles and possible competition dishes. Nathan brought ingredients for students to taste and experiment with to see how substituting one ingredient for another can change a dish.
On Thursday, November 11, Clearwater will honor Veterans and their families at a breakfast hosted by ProStart and an assembly. Veterans and their families are invited to attend the breakfast starting at 6:30am with the assembly following in the high school gym at 8.
