Interact is sponsoring a competition during 1st hour. The class that brings in the most books to their first hour class will receive a pizza/soda party. The competition runs NOW – December 14. All genres of new or gently used books will be accepted. Books will be donated to the Down Home Women’s Shelter and the Piedmont Police Department.

CHS STUDENTS VIE IN STATE LIFESMARTS COMPETITION

After online competitions with students from around the state, Caitlyn Alcorn, Taylor Freeze, Elizabeth Gronski, and Lexi Jordan comprise one of the 12 highest scoring teams advancing to the Missouri LifeSmarts Championship in Jefferson City on Wednesday. Sponsored by FCCLA and FBLA, students are tested on their consumer and martketplace knowledge on topics such as consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance and technology. Winners of the varsity competition will be invited to the National LifeSmarts Championship to be held in April.

PROJECT GRADUATION MEETING WEDNESDAY, DEADLINE FRIDAY
There will be a Project Graduation Meeting after school on Wednesday, November 28 in Mrs. Ayers’s room at the elementary. Seniors planning to attend the Project Graduation Party should fill out a form located in the counselor’s office. The deadline to return forms is Friday, November 3o.
