All CHS juniors will be taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) this morning. Students at Clearwater R-1 have access to practice tests such as the ASVAB and ACT through Learning Express Library. ALUMNI BASKETBALL GAME COMMEMORATING 60 YEARS!
If you played basketball as a senior at Clearwater High School, you are invited to participate in an alumni game on Saturday November 3. Contact CHS Coaches Zac Moore or Cheryl Dean if you would like to lace up and play on your HOME court once again! We are celebrating the 60th year of Clearwater Basketball and all proceeds from the game will go to benefit the Clearwater basketball program.
BASEBALL TIGERS BEGIN PLAY IN OFC TUESDAY
After receiving a bye in round one of the Ozark Foothills Tournament, the Clearwater Tigers will take on the Twin Rivers Royals after their defeat of the Greenville Bears, 3-1. Game time is 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9 at Three Rivers College.
LAST XC MEET FOR CHS UNTIL DISTRICTS ON OCT 27
The 2nd Annual Shannon County Showdown Cross Country Meet will be held on Wednesday, October 10, at Alley Springs Park. Approximate schedule for races:
• Varsity Boys 4:00
• Varsity Girls 4:30
• 7th & 8th Grades 5:15
Medals will be given to the top 20 individuals in each division (boys and girls separately) and plaques will be given to the team champions.

BOOK TALKS IN THE LIBRARY ON FIRST FRIDAYS
Beginning this Friday, October 5, and every first Friday of the month, Book Club members are invited to come to the library for lunch and Book Talks! No snacks will be furnished, but members are welcome to bring their own lunches (no lunch trays from the cafeteria). Come straight to the library when the bell rings after advisory. It is not required for you to give a book talk when you come, but those who would like to give a book talk should see Mrs. Bangert or Mrs. Pauley.
