An event similar to See You at the Pole™ held in September, “See You at the GOAL” is the brainchild of CHS student Michelle Lunyou.  Michelle led the Wednesday morning event in which students gathered to lift up students, teachers, the community, and our world in prayer.  The student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event ended with donuts and milk for participants.
  

FCA will be hosting “See You at the Goal” on Wednesday, November 18 in the CHS gymnasium at 7:00 am.  Everyone is invited for prayers and pastries.

The Piedmont Public Library will host a book signing by author Tammie L Smith on Saturday, November 14 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.  Smith is the author of Crystal Haven: A Safe Place for Zoë.  She lives in Annapolis, Missouri, has three children, and is writing the next book in the Crystal Haven series, The Adventures Within.

The Winter Sports parent meeting will be held Thursday, November 12 in the high school gymnasium at 5:30 pm.  This meeting is for any parent that has a student participating in high school basketball or high school cheerleading.  Important MSHSAA and Clearwater policies will be discussed.  The meeting should last approximately 30 minutes.

43 students are representing Clearwater High School at the FCCLA Regional Meeting in Dexter on Thursday, November 12.   The CHS chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is sponsored by educator Christy Johnson.  

The annual Veterans Day breakfast will begin at 7:00 am on Wednesday, November 11 in the Clearwater High School FACS room.  Area veterans are invited to eat breakfast and then stay as honored guests at the assembly in the high school gymnasium.  

The 2015 Clearwater R-1 yearbook is finally here!  There will be a yearbook distribution party today in the high school library during the advisory period.  If you haven’t purchased a book yet, extras are available for $40 while supplies last.

Students at Clearwater High School will dismiss at 12:20 pm on Tuesday, November 10 in order for teachers to be involved in professional development activities in the afternoon.

The CHS Drama Department will present a Murder/Mystery Dinner Theater on Friday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 7 in the high school cafeteria.  Purchase tickets from any drama club member.  Adult tickets are $10.00, tickets for ages 10 and under are $7.50.
