The Clearwater R-1 Board of Education met last night and set a new tentative high school graduation date of June 12, with an alternate date of June 26. The final decision will be made no later than June 1. The hope is that by June, quarantine restrictions will be lifted to allow for the traditional graduation ceremony our seniors deserve.

SCHOOL CLOSED FOR THE YEAR
SENIORS: PLZ CHECK SCHOOL EMAIL
Clearwater seniors should check school email for an invitation to join the Class of 2020 Google Classroom. If you are a senior that graduated in December, your school email is no longer active. You may provide Mrs. Bangert with an alternate email if you wish.
VIRTUAL SPIRIT WEEK
Virtual Spirit Week April 6–April 10! Show us your Tiger Pride. Post photos in the comments on the Clearwater R-1 Facebook page or email your spirit week pictures to Mrs. Chadbourne echadbourne@cwtigers.net or Mrs. Hand dhand@cwtigers.net.
ATTENTION SENIORS!
Although graduations across the country are uncertain at this time, the slide show for the CHS Class of 2020 and the 2020 Tiger Tales yearbook are both being produced. However, we need your help in gathering the following photos:
- A younger picture of each senior (baby, toddler, elementary)
- A current senior picture
- Buddy/Fun pictures of seniors at various ages
Please submit all photos at the highest resolution to chslibrary@cwtigers.net with the subject line “Senior 2020.” If you have had your portrait taken by a professional photographer, ask that he/she directly send us the photo of your choice.

WANTED: PHOTOS AND STORIES
Dear Students,
Photographs, diaries, and journals are a window to extraordinary events in history (i.e., Anne Frank and World War II). This is a unique time in our world. Therefore, Clearwater students are asked to document their histories with pictures and narratives about their activities during the coronavirus quarantine.
With your permission, we’d like to share these experiences in the yearbook, since many school events that would normally be covered in those pages have been cancelled. Even if you don’t want to share, it’s a great idea to journal for your own personal benefit and that of your descendants. It is gratifying to record memories and then bring them back to life years later (kind of like looking back over your Instagram posts or saving your SnapChats to Memories.)
Email photos and stories of Clearwater student activities to sconner@cwtigers.net or chslibrary@cwtigers.net, tagged with the subject line “COVID-19 activities.”
We look forward to seeing these moments in history from your perspectives. Stay healthy and safe.
SCHOOL CLOSURE EXTENSION
After consultation with state and local health officials, the Clearwater R-I School District is extending the closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic until May 4. During this time, all school activities are cancelled. As this situation continues to develop over the next month, we know there will be additional challenges that arise. We will work to keep our families and communities informed as addition information becomes available. Please watch for newsletters in the mail, follow the district Facebook page (Clearwater R-I School District) and our website (cwtigers.net) for more information.
Please follow the social distancing order and keep safe and healthy during this health crisis.
PROFESSOR MORIARTY’S SKULL DELIVERED TO UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA

If we were at school this semester, I would be delivering this lesson in person and asking students to determine the amount of truth in online stories. While you are at home on April Fools Day, I thought you might enjoy this walk through fact, fiction, and the gray areas in between. Also search other sites to help you determine validity.
