Government classes heard closing arguments today in a mock trial that explored our American justice system. Earlier in the week, students conducted investigations and research into the real life court case of Cameron Todd WILLINGHAM v. The STATE of Texas. Trying to reverse the controversial outcome that resulted in a 2004 execution, a panel of Clearwater student defense attorneys argued, “The wife did it.” Two out of three CHS student juries concurred.
Education at its very best! I’m excited to see the students participating in a mock trial. Congratulations.
